The blood of Cronos is the final documentation of the Tentativa Artaud (1974-2008), a happening whose duration is coextensive of the history of the Palau Heirmans located on Av. República 475, in Santiago de Chile. In 1974, months after the coup d’état, Ronald Kay directed the performance Tentativa Artaud in the attic of his house, then property of the University of Chile. The record of the action remained in reserve until its extinction in 2008 at the Museum of Fine Arts of Santiago. Meanwhile, the property was occupied militarily in 1977, transforming itself into a telephone listening center, space for detention and torture. Since 2004, the house is the headquarters of the Salvador Allende Foundation and Museum. A abyss of images on the abyss of history, the blood of Cronos shows in slow motion the catastrophe of the Republic.
